My name is Larry Thompson. I am originally from the small town of Galax located near the NC state line in Virginia. I currently live in Lexington NC, and have lived here for about three years. I have had an interest in computers and how they work since I was much younger; ever since my father showed me his Commodore64 to be exact. As I grew I knew that I would make a career out of my passion and devoted myself to learning as much as I can about the subject. I found out along the way that I really enjoyed the "hidden" side of computers, programming, and knew that was the area I would hone my skills. There is just something truly amazing about creating an interactive program with sound, images, and video on a computer using only letters and numbers.

Outside of programming and design I enjoy many other activities such as reading, music, cooking, and games of all kinds.

I believe that my greatest attribute is my inquisitive mind. If there is something that I do not understand and I want to understand it, I will research and experiment just to find out how it works. I believe that this lends skill itself to my professional field well in the fact that I will not stop until I find a solution to any problem I am facing. Combine this skill with my ability to work well with others and there is nothing that I cannot accomplish.
